EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Mary Black – The Slán Tour

Friday 15 May · 20:00 · University Concert Hall

After more than 45 years on the road, Mary Black has announced this as her final Irish tour. The Slán Tour brings her longtime band with her: Bill Shanley, Pat Crowley, Richie Buckley, Nick Scott, and Liam Bradley. The UCH show is sold out, but it's happening on Friday and it's the event of the week.

The Boo Radleys

Saturday 16 May · 20:00 · Dolans Warehouse

The In Spite of Everything tour hits Dolans Warehouse on Saturday night. The tour takes its name from the band's forthcoming ninth studio album, and they're back with new material alongside old songs. Dolans Warehouse is exactly the right room: enough capacity to feel like an event, close enough to feel like a gig.

The Leon Stax Equation: In View Album Launch

Thursday 14 May · 20:00 · Record Room

The Galway soul group launch their third album In View at the Record Room on Thursday. Released on vinyl, CD, and streaming on May 8th, the record blends upbeat funk with heavier soul, drawing on the 1960s and 70s soul tradition while pushing toward the contemporary revival. Their Limerick date is part of a wider Irish and UK tour in support of the album.

The Levy/Robson Quartet

Thursday 14 May · 20:30 · Dolan's Upstairs

Contemporary jazz quartet promoting new material at Dolan's Upstairs. A good Thursday option if the Record Room sells out or you want the later start.

Climate Action Week 2026

Wednesday 13 to Saturday 16 May · Various city locations

Four days of community-led events: workshops, talks, toy swaps, and climate cafés across Limerick City. Free to attend throughout the week.

Compton Organ Demonstration

Saturday 16 May · 11:30 · University Concert Hall

UCH organist Ronan Murray demonstrates the full range of the venue's Compton organ, from orchestral richness to "unexpected tonal surprises." Free admission, sixty seats available. A genuinely unusual Saturday morning option.

Expressive Arts Theatre School Annual Showcase

Monday 18 May · 15:00 · University Concert Hall

The annual student showcase at the UCH, running into next week.

Children's Lego Workshops

Friday 15 May · 14:30 · Watch House Cross Community Library

Free drop-in Lego workshop for ages 6 and up at Watch House Cross Community Library. First-come, first-served, no booking needed.

Joe the Magician – LIVE

Saturday 16 May · 15:00 · Lime Tree Theatre

A live magic show for families at Lime Tree Theatre. A regular across Ireland. Always hugely entertaining for the little ones.
